Pekka Koponen, Founder and CEO of Spinverse, has strong international experience in emerging technologies and markets. Pekka joined Nokia 1990 as a smart card expert for company’s first GSM phone. During the following 14 years he gained experience in R&D, strategy, marketing, sales and creating new ventures. His extensive international career includes expatriate assignments in China, Singapore, UK and Czech Republic. Pekka’s last position at Nokia was Partner in Nokia’s spin-off fund and before that Director of Strategy & Business Development at Nokia’s Software & Services-unit.
Matti has been working for Spinverse since 2008. As a Senior Consultant he was the team leader of the Technology Transfer & Scouting -team providing technology transfer and commercialization consultancy services for companies and research organizations. In January 2013 he became Director of Operations and is currently in charge of Spinverse service production, M&O and F&C.
Mikko is a seasoned new business development expert and strategist. His versatile international experience covers various high technology businesses from industrial logistic and retail automation to electronic payments and heavy engineering. He has lived, studied and worked internationally his entire career, dealing with marketing and sales, business development and change management.
Pirjo Pasanen is a senior consultant at Spinverse. She has long industry experience in nano- and information technology research, and managing collaborations between industry and academia. Her main expertise is in nanoelectronic systems, novel nanomaterials, and finding applications for new nanotechnology breakthroughs.
Miska is innovative business developer with extensive experience from establishing new and revitalized old businesses through new strategies, organizations and partnerships. At Spinverse his main responsibility is to help customers to develop their innovation capabilities to develop new business. Miska is enthusiastic about bringing in agile startup mentality to corporate environment, promoting fast experimentation of new ideas and developing new business ideas through open innovation and partnering.
Jorma is working as a sales manager in the Innovation Mill team at Spinverse Since the year 1992. Jorma has been working in different business development assignments both in the private as in the public sector.
The current phase of his professional career has concentrated on various business development operations including more than 25 years of experience in Technopolis Plc and other companies in Finland. As a result of these tasks Jorma has a large contact network consisting of Finnish companies, research organizations, funding agencies, technology development organizations and both municipal and industrial customers.
During his time in Technopolis Jorma has worked with start-ups and various Tekes and EU projects. His main responsibilities in the Innovation Mill team are team management and co-operation with different corporations.
Christiane is a consultant at Spinverse. She is the contact point for clients interested foresight, innovation strategy and EU-projects. She focuses on seizing business opportunities for clients wanting to grow through emerging technologies and new markets, or aiming to access new networks or partners in Europe.
Sari is a consultant at Spinverse. Currently she works in coordination of Tekes funded Green Growth Programme (2011 – 2015) and in number of customer business development projects.
Sari is specialized in industrial service business development. Her expertise areas include customer understanding, customer-oriented service product definition and service productising as well as modular service product definition. She has also worked with the development of different kinds of business networks. Sari knows small-and-medium sized manufacturing and solution provider companies and has a deep understanding on their business development needs.
Eira Seppälä joined Spinverse in 2013 as a Consultant to help companies in EU/Horizon 2020 -project proposals and project coordination and work in technology commercialization of research results from research institutes and universities as well as managing content of international conferences, such as EuroNanoForum and Industrial Technologies. She has experience both from industry and academia, in research and project management. Her expertise ranges from nanotechnology and materials science to computational acoustics and radio implementation.
Dr. Eeva Viinikka knows nano and micro technologies from research, new product development and commercialization point of view. In addition, her expertise ranges from clusters and innovation policies to organizing events and developing brand and communications. She has built and managed several innovation boosting projects and knows PPP from all points of view; public sector, high tech industries and academic research. In her current position in Spinverse she focuses in developing the events business.
Julius is a senior analyst at Spinverse. He has a M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications from Aalto University and he is interested in bringing technical and economic aspects together. In his Master’s Theses, he got to nourish this interest as he studied and participated in the development of a technology enabled service.
Oleg is a Project Manager at the Russian office of Spinverse, located in St.Petersburg. He is mainly involved in market analysis, technology feasibility studies, technology scouting, economic analysis and reports, project management as well as identifying new business for the Russian branch of Spinverse. Oleg serves EU customers that are willing to explore the opportunities provided by the Russian market.
Kaisu is a Project Manager at Spinverse, specializing in technology and innovation program management and related projects. Her main focus areas are bioeconomy, materials and green technologies, and she is currently acting as the program manager for the Sustainable Bioenergy Solutions for Tomorrow (BEST) program.
Tapio is a Project Manager at Spinverse. He is currently part of the coordination team of Tekes Green Growth Programme (2011-2015), and also working with other consulting projects related to new energy technologies and EU project preparations. Previously he was a co-coordinator of Tekes Fuel Cell Programme (2007-2013) and an operative manager of Demo2013 demonstration project for energy efficient technologies.
