We are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Defence and Security team in Espoo. You would work with most innovative companies and research organisations of varying sizes in defence and dual-use sector and support them with their public funding proposals (scoping and grant writing) and project coordination. Your main responsibility as a Senior Project Manager is to ensure that your customer projects are running smoothly and meet the requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate the conceptualization and design of innovation projects by integrating the expertise of multiple industrial stakeholders. Identify gaps, critically assess the level of innovation to ensure the project goes beyond the state-of-the-art, and shape the concept to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Develop project concepts into compelling and detailed proposal storylines by integrating diverse technologies, defining clear interfaces and translating the concept into a well-structured proposal that meets all call requirements.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to internal team members and clients, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality proposal that meets all requirements and deadlines.
- Lead overall stakeholder communication, fostering trust and strong relationships with all project stakeholders. Identify additional customer needs and actively support related sales efforts.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of ongoing innovation projects, such as those funded by the European Defence Fund.
What we are looking for
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field such as ICT, Cybersecurity or Space Technology
- At least 10 years’ work experience in relevant fields
- Strong interest in military technology and a drive to continuously learn new topics
- Strong project management skills and systematic approach to working
- A proactive, solution-oriented and flexible mindset
- Strong communication and organization skills, and experience in multi-partner collaboration
- Willingness and ability to embrace and grasp technical topics and skillfully write about them
- Strong written and spoken English language skills
- Experience in writing funding proposals and understanding in EU funding instruments such as European Defence Fund (EDF) and Horizon Europe is considered an advantage but not required
