Instructions
This section is the most structured in the template. You should use the tables, of ones with similar data structured very similarly, as given in the official template.
The chapter starts with the description of the structure of work. First briefly describe the overall approach to the work and the structuring you have done to the different aspects of the project. Include a PERT chart to show the information flows between different Work Packages. Unless it makes the picture illegible, you should indicate the Information flows at task level.
Work Packages refer to larger individual pieces from which the proposed work is built. The number of work packages should be proportionate to the scale and complexity of the project. Besides the work itself, you must have one work package for the communication and exploitation as described in Chapter 2.2, and one Work Package for project management that includes day to day management, reporting, managing finances, risk management and innovation management.
Include also a GANTT chart that shows the timing of different work packages, tasks, milestones and deliverables.
Example
The work in WIDGET project is divided into three technology work packages fitr hardware (WP1) and software (WP2) development, that is integrated as a full working solution in WP3. The WP4 is active throughout the development of WIDGET technology, where at first the pilot cases will define the design of WIDGET technology. WP4 also verifies the results in a pilot environment set up for WIDGET first in a simulation and then on a factrory floor. The communication, dissemination and exploitation actions are developed and run in WP5 throughout the project. The work is managed in a dedicated WP7 that handles the management of risks, innovations and the project itself.
