About the project
Digitalisation of the European manufacturing industries is the key to their continuous renewal and competitiveness. Harsh environmental conditions in manufacturing processes and end user environment may slow down the opportunities brought by IoT and AI. The CHARM project is set to solve this challenge, developing ECS technologies that withstand combinations of severe thermal, mechanical and chemical stress.
The solutions will be demonstrated in use cases covering condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and real-time quality assurance.
Impact of the project:
Multi-gas sensor, autonomous mining vehicle localisation, real-time paper mill & solar panel manufacturing monitoring, robotic inspection of nuclear power pipe condition, virtual prototyping of printers. Six patents, >100 dissemination events.
