About the project

The ExtendedLIFE project, starting in the summer of 2026, helps Ponsse to drastically reduce the use of virgin raw materials, cut greenhouse gas emissions and create a scalable model for sustainable heavy machinery.  ExtendedLIFE ensures nothing is wasted and every machine gets a second life.

Impact of the project:

Up to 93% of machine reused or recycled, lifetime of key parts doubled, 444 tonnes of virgin materials saved annually by end of project, 590 t CO2e/y avoided  growing 7-fold within next 5 years.

Spinverse’s role

In 2025, the LIFE programme received a record-high number of 1,095 funding proposals.

Spinverse supported Ponsse’s project proposal preparation for the Circular Economy and Quality of Life subprogramme.  Spinverse experts helped Ponsse with concepting and drafting

LIFE proposal meeting the required quality standards.

Spinverse's ability to shape the concept, budget and impacts into a successful proposal was a key added value for Ponsse. Spinverse experts encouraged strong idea development throughout the process and the concept matured significantly while staying true to our business. This helped us create a focused and competitive proposal.
