About the project
The goal of the project is to improve the solution’s efficiency with state-of-the-art digitally linearised RF amplifiers and reduce power consumption to less 50% that of current solutions. This will give 800MHz high-speed data for public safety coverage. The goal is to shatter digital link capacity limits to give an upgrade path to 5G.
Impact of the project:
The new DAS solution allows multiple operators pool their resources in buildings, tunnels or metro systems. Current DAS solutions lack digital link capacity for new standards and are highly energy-consuming.
