About the project

Massive amounts of textiles end up in landfills or are being burned, posing an extensive environmental risk and societal cost. Textile production is one of the most polluting industries at the rate of 1.2 billion tons of CO2 every year. Tthe existing fiber solutions cannot recycle the growing piles of discarded textiles, nor is there is affordable and environmentally sustainable alternative on the market. The cellulose carbamate technology patented by the Finnish Infinited Fiber Company enables textile waste to be turned into cost-efficient, cotton-like fibre with superior qualities and functionality.

Impact of the project:

The project aims to tackle the challenges of environmental impact caused by textile industry.
